A Message From Us

Welcome to this year’s new look website and we invite you to join us for what promises to be a hugely exciting and entertaining four days as Pianoduomania once again descends on St George’s Bristol!  We’ve broadened our programme this year to include jazz and comedy-classical evenings, bringing you an irresistible mix of music performed by a fantastic line-up of artists.

St George’s is one of Britain’s best-loved concert venues and blessed with a near perfect acoustic, constantly praised by performers and audience members alike. Crucially, St George’s also boasts two full sized Steinway pianos and we are delighted to continue working in close partnership.

The emphasis is on variety this year as we celebrate the piano duo’s full range and remarkable versatility - and set out to challenge a few preconceptions along the way!

You can hear two fabulous jazz pianists, John Law and Gwilym Simcock in an electrifying new partnership as well as the unique comedy duo talents of Worbey & Farrell, also known as Katzenjammer. The renowned classical duo of Simon Crawford-Phillips and Philip Moore perform a breathtaking two pianos programme and Piano 4 Hands feature in a specially devised concert with Charles Hazlewood and The Army of Generals, inspired by Schoenberg’s society for private performance.

We look forward to returning to Bristol and thank all our supporters for their valuable feedback in 2009 – we also look forward to seeing many new faces this October!

Joseph Tong and Waka Hasegawa
